Janet gave Kristen a sweatshirt for her son that had "Land Park" sewn on the front. Kristen absolutely LOVED it and told Janet that she should start a business producing these and selling them to the neighborhood! Janet is not one to pass up a great opportunity and decided to enlist the help of another "seamstress," Barbara, and Kristen headed sales and marketing.

Janet, Kristen and Barbara came together as In The Hood.biz.

Over the following two years, In The Hood.biz became very popular around town with many asking, "Where did you get that sweatshirt? I love it!" As the business began increasing, Kristen and her husband welcomed their second child. After much thought, Kristen decided to sell her portion of the business to Shannon, Barbara's niece, and spend more time with her family.

Janet, Barbara and Shannon are their own "family" and love the successes, trials and tribulations a personally owned business brings.
